Speaker bios

Amanda Runyon is Associate Dean and Director of the Biddle Law Library at the University of Pennsylvania's Carey Law School,  where she leads one of the United States’ premier academic law libraries. She teaches advanced legal research courses at Penn Carey Law and a capstone law library leadership course in the University of Washington’s Information School. Her research and scholarship spans a range of topics, including assessment in legal education, leadership in law libraries, the future of law library collections, and legal frameworks to protect libraries as foundations of democratic society. Amanda has held leadership roles in the Society of Academic Law Library Directors, the Society of Academic Law Librarians, and the NELLCO Law Library Consortium.

Leslie Street is Clinical Professor of Legal Research and Director of the Wolf Law Library at William & Mary Law School. In this role, she oversees the management of the Wolf Law Library and leads the law school’s legal research education programs. Her professional background includes service as an assistant corporation counsel for the New York City Law Department and as an associate at a law firm in Tacoma, Washington. She later earned a Master of Library and Information Science from the University of Washington, which launched her career in law librarianship. Professor Street's research and publications focus on legal information policy, copyright and libraries, and the evolving role and management of law libraries. Licensed to practice law in both New York and Washington, Professor Street is actively involved in the International Federation of Library Associations, where she is a standing committee member of the Law Libraries Section.
